Events, education, and advances in interoperability put Brazil at the forefront of Web3 in Latin America.
The crypto market in Brazil has several new developments. One of the highlights is BlockBR, which announced its official sponsorship of Blockchain Rio 2025, an event that will bring together the leading names in the sector. The company plans to take actions aimed at investors and the corporate public, in addition to promoting panels on infrastructure, regulation, and real cases of tokenization.
Polkadot has also advanced its strategy in Brazil by launching an interactive educational app entirely in Portuguese. On the international stage, platforms such as Wormhole and Bitget are expanding the reach of tokenized assets, which also has an impact on Brazilian investors.
Wormhole now offers multichain interoperability for Hamilton Lane’s SCOPE fund, while Bitget has joined Ondo Finance’s Global Markets Alliance, providing access to over 100 tokenized financial assets, including stocks and ETFs.
Latin America as a whole also stands out. The city of Buenos Aires will host Devconnect 2025, a global event about Ethereum and Web3 with more than 15,000 participants.
BlockBR sponsors or Blockchain Rio 2025
BlockBR will be an official sponsor of Blockchain Rio 2025. The company will be present with an interactive booth, activities aimed at investors and the corporate public, as well as strategic lectures. The decision reinforces BlockBR’s consolidation, as it seeks to expand its national and international operations.
In addition to its institutional presence, BlockBR will participate in the opening dinner and Blockchain Leaders, focusing on networking with industry leaders. The structure will feature investor onboarding initiatives, educational campaigns, and activations that connect technology and real opportunities to enter the tokenized market. The proposal is to reinforce the brand among the general public and industry executives.
On the official stages, the company will promote three panels with topics on infrastructure, regulation, and real cases of tokenization. Renowned lawyers and experts will also participate to foster debates on the challenges and advances of the digital economy in Brazil. Their presence reinforces BlockBR’s ambition to become a leader in tokenization in the country.
Brickken closes partnership with Assetera
The Brickken platform has announced a strategic partnership with Assetera, a regulated Austrian exchange, to facilitate the trading of tokenized assets on secondary markets in the European Union. The agreement will allow Brickken customers to list their digital securities directly on the Assetera platform, with access to liquidity and regulated visibility.
The goal is to fill gaps in market infrastructure, such as lack of liquidity and difficulties in institutional access. Now, issuers will be able to issue and trade tokens in a single integrated journey, with automated legal structure and investor onboarding, all within an environment that complies with regulatory standards.
According to Edwin Mata, CEO of Brickken, “liquidity is what makes tokenization real.” The partnership is part of a broader strategy to position Brickken as a complete operating system for digital assets, connecting companies to exchanges, institutions, and legally compliant markets across Europe.
Polkadot launches educational app in Portuguese
Polkadot, through Sunset Labs, has launched an interactive educational app entirely in Portuguese to teach about blockchain and programming in Rust. The platform offers a complete learning path, with basic to advanced modules, practical exercises, and technical content, seeking to integrate new users into the Polkadot ecosystem.
The project aims to reduce language barriers and boost developer training in Portuguese-speaking countries, especially Brazil, which is seen as a strategic market. The app features real-life use cases for the network, as well as topics such as digital security, smart contracts, and interoperability between blockchains.
According to Gustavo Joppert, representative of Polkadot, the goal is to encourage local projects that a9> use the infrastructure decentralized of the network. The app will receive constant updates and new educational partnerships, ensuring content that is always up to date and aligned with global trends in Web3.
Wormhole Enables Multichain Access to the SCOPE Fund
Wormhole was chosen as the interoperability platform for the SCOPE Access Fund, a tokenized feeder linked to Hamilton Lane’s senior credit fund, in partnership with Securitize. The fund is now available on the Ethereum and Optimism networks, offering instant subscriptions, on-demand redemptions, and daily NAV pricing.
With integration, Wormhole allows tokens to flow between different blockchains, bringing more liquidity and accessibility to the fund. The goal is to transform the asset into an element interoperable within the DeFi ecosystem and of assets from the real world (RWAs), connecting traditional finance to the internet economy.
The initiative represents a step forward in tokenized institutional finance, with over $3.5 billion in multichain assets under management by Wormhole. Hamilton Lane, with nearly US$ 1 trillion in assets under supervision, is betting on this integration as a model for the future of globally connected finance.
Bitget joins Ondo alliance for RWA tokens
Bitget has announced its entry into Ondo Finance’s Global Markets Alliance, an initiative that brings together major players to standardize and expand the market for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). With this partnership, Bitget users will be able to trade more than 100 assets such as stocks, ETFs, and US money market funds.
The new offering, set to debut later this summer, will give investors 24/7 access, asset fractionalization, and global trading, reducing the barriers of the traditional financial system. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen says tokenization is the key to the next wave of adoption in digital assets.
The alliance includes names such as Solana Foundation, LayerZero, BitGo, Fireblocks, and 1inch. According to Ondo CEO Nathan Allman, the integration with Bitget marks an important step toward bringing global financial assets to the blockchain, creating a more accessible and interoperable institutional market.
